Russian Bombing Kills One, Injures Nine in Kharkiv Apartment Building

Russian aerial attacks have again struck civilian areas in Ukraine, with a bombing in Kharkiv killing at least one person and injuring nine others, including a 6-year-old child. The strikes hit a low-rise apartment building in the city's Kholodnohirskiy district early Saturday.

Regional administration chief Oleh Syniehubov confirmed that at least nine people were wounded, with five requiring hospitalization. Hours after the initial impact, authorities recovered a body from the debris. This attack follows a pattern of Russian forces targeting residential areas.

In another incident, a Russian drone struck a civilian vehicle late Friday, resulting in the death of a man and injuring the woman driving the car, according to Syniehubov. Near the northern city of Sumy, guided bombs hit the outskirts, killing one civilian and damaging at least 20 private homes, local administration head Oleh Hryhorov reported.

Ukraine's air force stated that it shot down 92 out of 99 Russian drones launched overnight. However, the remaining seven drones reportedly hit targets in three locations. Meanwhile, Russian air defenses claimed to have repelled a drone attack on an oil refinery in Tyumen, western Siberia, with no reported damage to the facility.
