Russian Drone Attack Kills 27 Near Kyiv, Ukrainian Drones Strike Russian Logistics Hubs

A Russian drone attack on a warehouse near Kyiv late Thursday killed at least 27 people and caused a massive fire, according to regional governor Tymur Tkachenko. He stated that the current death toll might not be final, indicating the possibility of more casualties.

In retaliation or parallel action, Ukrainian drones struck a logistics center belonging to the Russian e-commerce company Ozon in Rostov-on-Don. The company confirmed a small fire, which was quickly extinguished, and temporarily suspended operations for safety inspections. Another warehouse in Aksay, owned by the Russian electronics chain Dns, also caught fire, with employees evacuated.

The governor of Rostov, Yuri Slyusar, confirmed drone debris was found in the Aksay district, though he did not specify which warehouse was hit. He described the attack as "massive" and reported seven injuries, including two adults and two children hospitalized in Rostov-on-Don. Additionally, drone debris damaged two apartment buildings in the Proletarsky district, leading to resident evacuations, and broke windows in several homes in the Bagayev district.

Meanwhile, Kyiv experienced another Russian drone attack Friday morning, with multiple explosions heard across the city. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of drones heading towards the capital, urging residents to seek shelter immediately. The Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed the air raid alert due to the drone threat.
