Russian Missile Strike Damages Ship in Odesa Region; Ukrainian Drone Attack Causes Fire at Crimea Airport

A Russian missile attack on the Odesa region resulted in damage to a ship flying the Marshall Islands flag. The strike ignited a fire onboard, necessitating the evacuation of the 17-person crew. Four crew members sustained injuries and received medical attention, though hospitalization was not required.

Separately, Ukrainian drones targeted a military airfield in Hvardiiske, Crimea, overnight, causing a significant fire. Reports indicate over 20 explosions were heard in the vicinity of Hvardiiske, located about 13 kilometers from Simferopol. Explosions were also reported in various districts of Sevastopol, Feodosia, and Kerch.

This incident marks not the first time Ukrainian drones have targeted the Hvardiiske airfield. The ongoing military actions underscore the continued conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides engaging in strikes affecting infrastructure and personnel in contested territories.
