A Russian missile strike on a Turkish-owned cargo ship has resulted in the deaths of five crew members and left five others missing, Ukraine's navy reported. The vessel, identified as the 'Golden Leo,' was reportedly carrying grain and was struck by three Russian cruise missiles as it was "on its way out of the combat zone."

Ukraine's navy condemned the attack as a "deliberate Russian attack on an unarmed civilian vessel under a foreign flag that posed no military threat whatsoever." The crew members hailed from countries including India and Syria. The ship was sailing under the flag of Guinea-Bissau.
