Russian strikes hit warehouses near Kyiv, sparking fire and heavy smoke

Four Russian drone strikes hit warehouse facilities in Sviatopetrivske, a village in Kyiv Oblast, on the evening of 4 September. The attacks sparked a fire and sent a heavy column of smoke into the sky.

Anton Ovsiienko, head of the Bilohorodka hromada, reported the strikes. He said early reports indicated that no one had been injured or killed.

Residents in nearby areas were urged to keep their windows closed, avoid going outside unless necessary and stay away from the strike site. The warnings came as smoke spread from the burning warehouse facilities.

Bilohorska Street was temporarily closed in both directions between Sviatopetrivske and Bilohorodka. The road closure affected traffic while the emergency response continued.
