Sacred Crown Awards adjusts categories as verification process continues

The organizers of the Sacred Crown Awards 2026 have announced adjustments to selected award categories as they continue the verification process for nominees. This initiative aims to uphold fairness, accuracy, and the overall integrity of the awards.

Following the official announcement of nominees, further verification and stakeholder engagement have taken place. The organizers stated that these adjustments are intended to ensure appropriate categorization and proper recognition of each nominee's standing, experience, and contributions to society. Updated nominee lists and official flyers will be published on the awards' official communication platforms.

As part of this process, adjustments have been made to selected award categories to ensure appropriate categorisation and proper recognition of the standing, experience, and contributions of nominees.

The Sacred Crown Awards, an initiative by His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council, seeks to celebrate and preserve African heritage, spirituality, and wellness. It also recognizes individuals and institutions making exceptional contributions.

The organizers emphasized that a previously announced one-week period for corrections and omissions is still open for genuine administrative errors, such as mistakes in names, titles, or categories. However, they clarified that this period does not mean nominations are being reopened. All valid submissions received within the stipulated timeframe will be reviewed before any official amendments are made. The inaugural edition of the awards is scheduled for October 31, 2026, featuring nominees across entertainment, traditional authority, faith, healthcare, philanthropy, and culture.
