Sage appointed new Crystal Palace manager

Crystal Palace has officially appointed Pierre Sage as their new manager, replacing Oliver Glasner who departed at the end of last season. The 47-year-old French manager has signed a three-year contract after making a significant impact with Lens during the previous campaign.

Sage guided Lens to a second-place finish in Ligue 1, securing Champions League qualification, and also led them to their first French Cup title. His impressive debut season with Lens earned him the Ligue 1 Manager of the Year award, prompting Crystal Palace to secure his services for their team's development.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish believes Sage possesses the credibility to advance the club, which will compete in the Europa League next season following their Conference League triumph. The club also achieved a historic FA Cup victory against Manchester City in 2025, raising hopes for a new era under Sage's management.
