Salah in talks with Turkish club Trabzonspor after Liverpool era

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is reportedly in talks with Turkish club Trabzonspor about a potential transfer, according to the club's social media. Salah is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday, with a subsequent journey to Trabzon that evening.

The 34-year-old forward concluded his nine-year tenure at Liverpool at the end of last season. During his time with the club, he achieved significant success, including winning the Champions League and two English league titles. Salah netted 257 goals in 442 matches across all competitions, making him Liverpool's third-highest scorer in history. He also ranks fourth on the Premier League's all-time top scorers list with 193 goals, 191 of which were for Liverpool.

However, Salah's performance declined in his final season with a disappointing Liverpool side, where he managed only seven league goals. He recently participated in the World Cup, helping Egypt reach the Round of 16 for the first time since 1934, though they suffered a dramatic loss to eventual finalists Argentina after leading 2-0.

Salah has scored 66 goals in 119 international matches for Egypt and is widely regarded as one of Africa's most successful footballers. He had previously been linked with Trabzonspor's rivals, Besiktas. Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish league last season, securing a spot in the Europa League playoffs.
