Salah scores twice as Trabzonspor beat Basaksehir 2-1

Mohamed Salah made an immediate impact in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring twice to secure Trabzonspor's first win of the season against Istanbul Basaksehir. The match ended 2-1, with Salah's brace proving decisive.

Salah, who arrived at Trabzonspor on a free transfer after a successful nine-year spell at Liverpool, demonstrated his continued prowess on the field. He opened the scoring in the eighth minute, capitalizing on a goalkeeping error. Although Basaksehir equalized through a penalty in the 19th minute, Salah quickly restored Trabzonspor's lead three minutes into the second half with a well-worked goal.

Despite his impactful performance, Salah had two further goals disallowed. One was ruled out for a foul in the build-up during stoppage time, and another was disallowed for offside when he attempted to score from long range with the opposing goalkeeper out of position. Trabzonspor will now prepare for their Europa League playoff second leg against Ferencvaros, having lost the first leg 1-0 at home.
