Sampyo Group Sponsors Seoul International Children's Film Festival for Third Consecutive Year

Sampyo Group is extending its support for the Seoul International Children's Film Festival (SICFF) for the third year running, reinforcing its commitment to fostering children's engagement with cinema and creative activities. The company announced on July 23, 2026, that it had donated 16.5 million won to ensure the success of the 14th SICFF and to invigorate the film culture among young audiences.

The sponsorship funds were formally handed over during a ceremony at the Eunpyeong District Office in Seoul. Attendees included Yoo Yong-jae, Managing Director of Sampyo Group's Social Contribution Department, Eunpyeong District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung, and Kim Han-ki, the Executive Chairman of the SICFF. This year's festival, scheduled to run from September 10 to 15 in the Eunpyeong District, aims to showcase video content for children and discover future filmmaking talent.

Building on its previous editions, the 14th SICFF is expanding its scope. In addition to programs centered on children, the festival will introduce a competitive section for youth and a family category. This expansion is designed to encourage broader participation from children, teenagers, and families, making the event more inclusive and engaging for a wider demographic.

Sampyo Group's contribution will specifically support the operation of the 'DODAM DODAM Theater,' a venue tailored for infants and toddlers, ensuring that even the youngest audiences can enjoy age-appropriate film screenings. The funding will also be allocated to awards for the international children's director competition, recognizing and encouraging young talent in filmmaking.
