Samsung Electronics fully adopts external generative AI to innovate work methods

Samsung Electronics is accelerating its transformation of work methods by fully integrating external generative AI services into its internal operations. Starting May 12, all employees within the Device eXperience (DX) division will have official access to leading AI platforms such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini Enterprise, and Anthropic's Claude.

This strategic decision allows employees to select the AI service that best suits their individual tasks and objectives, moving away from a single-platform approach. While Samsung Electronics had previously exercised caution regarding the adoption of external AI due to security risks, such as information leakage, the company now believes that maximizing work productivity is directly linked to business competitiveness.

The company anticipates that this adoption of customized AI utilization will enhance decision-making speed and execution capabilities across the organization. In line with this company-wide initiative, the Device Solutions (DS) division, responsible for the semiconductor business, is also set to officially announce its adoption of generative AI for work in the near future.
