Samsung's largest union demands restoration of posts on internal message board 'Nowtalk'

Samsung Electronics' largest labor union has formally requested the company to reinstate union posts on the main page of its internal communication platform, 'Nowtalk'. The National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU) expressed its dissatisfaction with recent changes to the Nowtalk interface, which has reportedly removed union-related content from prominent display.

The union argues that this exclusion limits employees' access to important information and discussions concerning labor matters. They believe that visibility on the main page is crucial for effective communication between the union and the broader workforce. The NSEU views the current arrangement as a barrier to transparent dialogue and employee engagement on workplace issues.

In their appeal, the union specifically addressed key management figures, including Jeon Young-hyun, head of Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions (DS) division, and Yeo Myung-gu, head of the People Team. The union's demand centers on ensuring that their communications are easily accessible to all Samsung Electronics employees, fostering a more informed and connected workplace. The core issue is the perceived marginalization of union voices within the company's internal digital sphere.
