San Ignacio Rally set for fourth round of Paraguay’s historic-car championship

The San Ignacio Rally will bring about 32 crews and a collection of historic, classic and sports cars onto Paraguay’s roads this weekend.

The event, organized by the Club de Vehículos Antiguos del Paraguay, will serve as the fourth round of the 2026 National Regularity Championship for Antique, Classic and Sports Vehicles. Competitors will cover approximately 500 kilometres over two days, using national, secondary and local roads. Precision, strategy and coordination between drivers and navigators will be central to the challenge.

The cars will gather at La Plaza Villeta from 8 a.m. on Saturday, giving the public a chance to view them up close before the first vehicle starts at 9 a.m. After the opening day, the crews will arrive in San Ignacio, in Misiones Department. The Hotel 1609 will serve as the meeting point, and the participating cars will remain on display there during Saturday night.

The rally will resume on Sunday at the Petrobras Moviter service station in San Ignacio. The second day will begin at 9 a.m. and follow the return route toward Asunción. Organizers are inviting families and visitors to attend the starts and the evening display, where they can meet the crews and see the vehicles at close range.
