His willingness to engage in direct confrontation with figures like former US President Donald Trump and his strong condemnation of Israeli actions in Gaza have resonated far beyond Spain's borders. What makes Sánchez's international standing particularly noteworthy is that he achieves this prominence while Spain is a member of both NATO and the European Union.
