Sanyi Wood Sculpture Museum Offers Free Guided Tours of International Art Exhibition

The Sanyi Wood Sculpture Museum in Miaoli County is inviting the public to explore its International Wood Sculpture Art Exchange Exhibition through a series of six free guided tours. These tours, commencing on August 1, are designed to offer visitors an in-depth understanding of the creative processes and curatorial vision behind the artworks.

Led by the exhibition's curator and professional guides, the "Curator's Path, Entering the Empty Cup Living Water" tour series aims to provide a rich artistic experience. Participants will engage with the works through detailed analysis, discussions on creative concepts, and insights into the curatorial perspective, fostering a journey of both depth and aesthetic appreciation.

This year's exhibition, centered on the theme "Empty Cup Living Water," symbolizes an open and humble mindset receptive to diverse cultures and artistic thinking. It features artists from various national and cultural backgrounds, whose works demonstrate the multifaceted nature of wood sculpture. The exhibition highlights the fusion of traditional craftsmanship, contemporary creation, and international exchange, reflecting a dynamic dialogue among different cultures within the art form.

The museum has scheduled six tour sessions on August 1, August 22, and September 12, each at 10 AM and 2 PM. The August 1 tour will be led by curator Zhang Fujun, offering insights into the exhibition's planning and the stories behind the pieces. On August 22, wood sculpture artist Lin Yutong will guide visitors from an artist's viewpoint, while young wood sculptor Chen Peiyin will lead the September 12 tours, focusing on the creative characteristics and cultural significance of the works.
