Sao Paulo City Hall's Controller's Office Wins Integrity Awards

The General Controller's Office (CGM) of Sao Paulo's City Hall has been recognized for its commitment to integrity and good governance, securing two accolades at the 6th INAC Integrity Award. The awards celebrate initiatives and professionals who advance ethics, transparency, and integrity within public administration.

The city's Program for Integrity and Good Practices (PIBP) earned third place in the "It Worked" category. This program is designed to implement mechanisms and procedures aimed at preventing fraud, corruption, irregularities, and misconduct within the municipal public administration.

Additionally, the Governance and Integrity Index (IGI) secured third place in the "Professional Experience" category. The IGI serves as a tool to monitor and evaluate the performance of direct administration bodies. It does so by assessing nine key indicators, including the handling of complaints, protection of personal data, and auditing of emergency contracts.

The awards ceremony, held at the Municipal Theater of Sao Paulo, highlighted the ongoing efforts by Mayor Ricardo Nunes's administration to foster a culture of accountability and ethical conduct within the city government.
