Sarıyer faces transfer ban over debt to coach Yılmaz Vural, ban lifted in 24 hours

TFF 1. Lig club Sarıyer was thrown into a crisis when a transfer ban was imposed due to a debt of 5 million Turkish Lira owed to former technical director Yılmaz Vural. Vural had managed the team for only four matches last season before his departure.

However, club president Emre Yaldız provided reassurance to fans just one day after the ban was announced. He stated on social media that the transfer ban had been lifted within 24 hours. Yaldız indicated that official and legal explanations would be shared soon, adding, "What seems like a mountain for some is just a 24-hour matter for us."

Following the resolution, Yaldız directed a humorous message to Vural. He posted, "Coach Yılmaz, you took so much money… I guess our tracksuits were on loan. You can send them back when you're free." Vural's tenure at Sarıyer, which began in September 2025, saw the team achieve one win and three losses in four matches, leading to his dismissal.
