Saudi Arabia launches new one-year, multiple-entry Umrah visa with 90-day stay

Saudi Arabia has launched an innovative one-year, multiple-entry Umrah visa, designed to offer greater flexibility and convenience to pilgrims. This new visa allows individuals to enter the Kingdom multiple times throughout the year, with a cumulative stay not exceeding 90 days. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the change as part of its commitment to improving the pilgrim experience, a key component of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.

Under the updated regulations, pilgrims must secure a service package from an approved provider via the Nusuk platform before each visit. The duration of this package cannot surpass the remaining validity of the visa. Additionally, obtaining an Umrah permit through the Nusuk application is mandatory before arriving in Saudi Arabia. The ministry clarified that the visa automatically deactivates upon departure from the Kingdom and can only be reactivated after meeting the required regulations for a subsequent entry.

This new multiple-entry visa will not be available during the Hajj season, specifically from the first day of Dhu Al-Qi'dah until the 13th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah. The introduction of this visa is expected to streamline religious travel and encourage more pilgrims to visit Saudi Arabia, enhancing the overall accessibility and ease of performing Umrah.
