Saudi Arabia, Pakistan boost agriculture and food security ties

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have affirmed their commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships in agriculture and food security. Both nations emphasized the importance of bolstering cooperation to support investment opportunities and increase trade exchange, aligning with their well-established bilateral relations.

This renewed focus on agricultural collaboration was highlighted during the official visit of Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhly to Pakistan. Leading a high-level delegation, Al-Fadhly's visit aimed to explore concrete avenues for cooperation, focusing on enhancing irrigation and water system efficiency, and fostering investment.

During his visit, Minister Al-Fadhly held a meeting with Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. The discussions centered on various aspects of bilateral cooperation within the agriculture and food security sectors.
