Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan Sign Defense Pact Amid Regional Tensions

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan have formalized a joint defense pact, dubbed the "Makkah Joint Defense Agreement," amid escalating regional tensions. The agreement was signed as the region grapples with Houthi attacks and the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, which has disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea.

The three nations announced the pact through their official news agencies and foreign ministries. The agreement commits the signatories to strengthening collective security and promoting peace, safety, and stability both regionally and beyond.
