Saudi Arabia, US Sign Nuclear Deal for Decades-long Partnership

Saudi Arabia and the United States have signed a civil nuclear cooperation agreement, establishing a framework for long-term collaboration on civilian nuclear energy. This pact paves the way for the development of the kingdom's nuclear program with U.S. participation.

The agreement, signed by Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright, builds on the strategic partnership between the two nations. It follows up on negotiations completed during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the U.S. in November.

Wright also highlighted the deal as a benefit for both American and Saudi people, signaling the continuation of an "American nuclear renaissance."
