Saudi-Bahraini Committee Reviews Joint Security Cooperation

Saudi Arabia and Bahrain convened in Riyadh for the seventh meeting of the Security Committee Working Group, a key component of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council. The session, co-chaired by Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Issa, director general of legal affairs and international cooperation at Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry, and Bahrain's Deputy Police Chief Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, focused on enhancing bilateral security ties.

During the meeting, officials undertook a comprehensive review of existing security cooperation and coordination mechanisms between the two neighboring Gulf states. The discussions centered on identifying and exploring avenues to further strengthen their collaborative efforts in the security domain.

According to a Saudi government statement, the primary objective of the gathering was to solidify the partnership and ensure continued alignment on security matters. The ongoing dialogue underscores the commitment of both Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to maintaining regional stability and addressing shared security challenges through joint action.
