Saudi Defense Minister Offers Condolences for Former Yemeni President Hadi

Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, has conveyed the deepest condolences from the Kingdom's leadership to the family of the late former Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi. The minister met with Hadi's family in Riyadh on Saturday to express sympathy on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

During the meeting, Prince Khalid lauded the late president's commitment to Yemen's security, stability, development, and prosperity. He offered prayers for Hadi's soul, asking for God's mercy and forgiveness, and for strength and solace for his family and the Yemeni people.

Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi died in Riyadh on Thursday. His funeral prayer was held at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque, followed by his burial at Al-Oud Cemetery in Riyadh on Friday. Hadi led Yemen as its internationally recognized president for ten years before transferring his powers in 2022 to the Presidential Leadership Council.
