Saudi, Egyptian and Qatari foreign ministers denounce threats to maritime navigation in phone call

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar have jointly condemned recent Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and threats to maritime navigation. The condemnation came during separate phone calls on Saturday.

During their conversations, the ministers stressed the importance of intensifying joint efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and return to negotiation tracks. Their goal is to preserve peace and security across the region. The officials also discussed the latest developments impacting the Middle East.

Specifically, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan spoke with Egyptian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdelatty. They underscored the necessity of collaborative efforts to reduce tensions and resume dialogue for regional stability.

Prince Faisal also held a phone call with Mauritania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug. Their discussion focused on current regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
