Saudi Hajj Minister reviews performance, plans early preparations for next season

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, convened with representatives from Hajj companies in Mina on Friday. The meeting focused on evaluating the performance of the past Hajj season, identifying areas for enhancement, and initiating early preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage.

Al-Rabiah acknowledged the significant support from King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, stating their backing has been instrumental in improving services and the overall experience for pilgrims. He also commended the Interior Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, for his oversight, which he noted strengthened coordination and operational efficiency.

Preparations for next year’s pilgrimage begin before the current season ends, reflecting the Hajj system’s continuous-work approach aimed at improving service quality and elevating the experience of pilgrims.

This proactive strategy aims to consistently elevate service quality and the pilgrim experience. Key discussion points included development initiatives in digital services, contracting methods, enhancing pilgrim accommodation and transportation, and improving crowd management and support services.

These efforts are integral to the ministry's broader objectives and align with the directives of the Saudi leadership to prioritize pilgrims' well-being. The initiatives also support the goals of the Pilgrim Experience Program, a component of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to enrich the spiritual journey for all pilgrims.
