Saudi, Iraqi FMs stress preventing Iraq from being used to attack neighbors

Saudi Arabia and Iraq stressed the critical importance of ensuring Iraq's territory and resources are not utilized for aggression against neighboring nations. The joint statement came during a meeting in Amman between Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein.

The two top diplomats reviewed the current regional landscape and reiterated the robust relationship between Riyadh and Baghdad. They also highlighted the necessity of supporting initiatives that bolster Iraq's interests and strengthen its connections with Arab and Islamic countries.

On the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem and its Holy Sites, Prince Faisal also held discussions with Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. Their talks focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on pressing regional matters. Key among these were the situations in the West Bank and Gaza, alongside ongoing diplomatic efforts concerning the territories.
