Saxony-Anhalt election: What to do if your voting notification hasn't arrived

Voters in Saxony-Anhalt who have not yet received their official notification for the upcoming state election on September 6 are being advised to take immediate action. The state election authority emphasizes that all eligible citizens should have received their voting documents by now.

Individuals who believe they are eligible to vote but have not received their notification are instructed to contact their respective municipal administration without delay. The administration will then conduct a review to verify eligibility. According to the state election director, if an eligible voter's inclusion in the registry was mistakenly omitted, they must submit an application to correct the voter list by August 21, 2026.

Participation in the state election is contingent upon being listed in the official voter registry. This registry includes all eligible voters who were registered with their primary residence at the municipal registration office no later than 42 days before the election. For the current election, this deadline was July 26, 2026.

This process ensures that all eligible citizens have the opportunity to cast their vote. Residents are encouraged to proactively check their status and complete any necessary steps to ensure their inclusion in the voter registry before the deadline.
