SC orders moving jailed ex-PM Imran Khan to Shifa Hospital for medical checkup

Pakistan's Supreme Court has directed authorities to transfer jailed PTI founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for a medical examination within the coming days. The ruling came on Tuesday as a three-member bench, led by Justice Shahid Wahid, heard Khan's petition requesting hospitalization.

The court's order also stipulates that Khan should be allowed weekly meetings with his family members. Furthermore, a medical board is to be constituted, which will include Khan's personal physician and his sister, Dr. Uzma Khan.

In addition to these directives, the court has instructed Khan's legal team and his family members to refrain from sharing his medical reports with the media or using his health condition for political purposes. The details of the medical checkup and the formation of the board are expected to be finalized shortly.
