Scandal-Plagued DP Secretary-General Resigns at Leader's Demand

He expressed disappointment that the government, despite his party's position, did not immediately call for a national referendum on the prohibition of totalitarianism. This, he argues, reflects a compromise of the DP's core principles in favor of coalition stability, a direction he believes is unacceptable to the party's base.

Furthermore, Dabro highlighted his dissatisfaction with the ruling coalition's decision to integrate left-liberal MPs without consulting the DP. This move, which bolstered the government's parliamentary majority, is seen by Dabro as a dilution of the coalition's original political character and a disregard for the DP's influence within it. He feels that external political actors have been allowed to interfere in the DP's internal affairs, undermining his own position and the party's distinct identity.
