Scotland coach Steve Clarke resigns after World Cup exit

Clarke's departure marks the premature end of his four-year contract, which he signed just one month ago. He had been at the helm of Scottish football for the past seven years, establishing himself as one of the most successful and consistent managers in the history of the national team. Under his leadership, Scotland returned to the global stage after a long period of absence.

However, the team did not meet high expectations in Group C of the tournament. After an initial 1-0 win against Haiti, Scotland suffered consecutive losses: a narrow 1-0 defeat to Morocco, followed by a decisive 0-3 loss to Brazil. This performance ultimately led to Clarke's decision to step down.
