Second Round of University Admissions Begins in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan's higher education institutions have commenced the second round of their admissions process for the academic year. Aspiring students have until 2:00 PM on July 22 to complete their registration for this stage of the campaign.

The automated information system 'Abiturient online' reported that during the initial round of admissions, a total of 42,600 electronic application forms were submitted by prospective students. Of these, 15,300 applications were for state-funded (budget) places, while 27,300 were for fee-paying (contract) positions. Following the first round, universities have recommended 29,500 applicants for enrollment.

The overall admissions campaign is structured to proceed in five distinct rounds. This comprehensive approach allows for multiple opportunities for students to secure places in higher education. The process accommodates applications based on the results of the nationwide testing, not only for universities but also for colleges admitting students who have completed 11th grade.
