Section of Bishkek's Frunze Street closed for major repairs

A section of Frunze Street in Bishkek, spanning from Ibraimov Street to Abdrakhmanov Street, has been closed to traffic as part of a significant road infrastructure rehabilitation project. The City Hall announced the closure, detailing the scope of the extensive repairs.

During this phase of major repairs, crews will remove the existing asphalt concrete layer. They will then strengthen the road base, conduct necessary repairs to utility lines, and finally lay new asphalt concrete. The overall goal is a comprehensive renovation of the road infrastructure.

This closure follows the completion of major repairs on another section of Frunze Street, from Suyumbaev Street to Ibraimov Street, where traffic has since been restored. The City Hall is implementing a strategy of phased closures for individual sections of Frunze Street. This approach aims to minimize the impact of the ongoing construction work on the city's overall traffic flow.
