See the areas that will experience power outages on Sunday (May 31)

Residents and businesses in Ghana's Tema and Accra West Regions are set to experience power outages on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has issued notices detailing both planned and emergency maintenance activities that will disrupt supply.

In the Tema Region, a planned maintenance exercise is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This will affect numerous areas including Wang Heng Cement, Goil Bitumen, Meridian FM, Naval Base, Unilever, and surrounding vicinities. The ECG stated that this exercise is necessary for improving service delivery.

Simultaneously, the Accra West Region will undergo emergency maintenance from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Affected areas include Kotoku, Papase, Chinto, Pokrom, Obuodaka, and surrounding locations. This emergency work is also being carried out to enhance service delivery, according to the company's announcement made on Saturday, May 30.

The ECG has apologized for any inconvenience these disruptions may cause. Customers have been urged to prepare for the outages by making alternative arrangements for any activities that rely on electricity during the specified hours. The company assured that power supply would resume in all affected areas once the maintenance work is completed.
