SEIKO opens flagship store in Taipei's Ximending, exclusively selling high-end watches and clocks

Japanese watchmaker SEIKO has opened its first directly managed flagship store in Taipei's bustling Ximending district. This new retail space aims to provide Taiwanese consumers with a complete experience of Japanese craftsmanship and the brand's vision.

The store features an upgraded hardware space and exclusively offers high-end watch series and the SEIKO DÉCOR高级座钟 series, setting the highest standards in space, products, and services. This initiative underscores SEIKO's commitment to the Taiwanese market.

Alongside the store opening, SEIKO unveiled several new models. The most anticipated is the King Seiko VANAC series, now featuring titanium cases and bracelets for the first time. Titanium, approximately 40% lighter than stainless steel, offers enhanced comfort, scratch resistance, and durability, making the watches suitable for both business and athletic activities.

The new watches draw inspiration from the iconic 1970s VANAC series, retaining its multi-faceted case, dynamic angular lines, and bezel-less construction for a broad dial view. The integrated bracelet, composed of short links, presents clean, elegant horizontal lines complemented by brushed finishes that contrast with the titanium's dark hue. Available in three new colors, purple, gray, and black, the dials are inspired by Tokyo's urban landscape, featuring radiating patterns that evoke the dynamic sensation of driving on a highway towards the skyline, blending retro and modern aesthetics. These new King Seiko VANAC models are powered by SEIKO's top-tier 8L45 mechanical movement, offering a 72-hour power reserve.
