Sejong Arts Center Opens 'Stage Tour' for Behind-the-Scenes Performance Production Experience

The Sejong Arts Center is offering a unique "Stage Tour" program, allowing the public to experience the behind-the-scenes world of performance production. Running from September 4 to 6, this fall session follows a successful trial last year and a paid launch in the first half of 2024, which sold out due to high public interest.

Participants will gain insight into the intricate production processes and the work of performing arts professionals. Guided by experts from the Sejong City Culture and Tourism Foundation, attendees will explore areas normally off-limits, including the backstage, dressing rooms, and artist waiting areas. They will learn about the principles and operation of stage machinery, lighting, and sound systems, with opportunities to witness and even operate stage equipment firsthand.

A special highlight allows participants to sit and play the Steinway piano used by world-renowned musicians like pianist Cho Seong-jin. Each participant will also receive a commemorative gift. The tour is scheduled for five sessions: one evening session on September 4 at 7:30 PM, and two sessions each on September 5 and 6 at 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM.
