Sejong University to run hands-on AI skills workshops for job seekers

Sejong University’s University Job Plus Center will offer a three-day practical AI workshop for graduates, prospective graduates and young people in the local community from September 7 to 9. The program, titled “AI Worker Level 3: From User to Creator,” is built around three in-person training sessions.

The course goes beyond basic generative AI use. Participants will work on real tasks, verify the results and build systems for handling repetitive work more efficiently. The curriculum links problem definition, review of AI output, execution-environment management, uncertainty management, finalizing deliverables and creating value through step-by-step practice.

The first session, “Finishing Work from Start to Finish with AI,” will teach participants to input source materials into AI and classify or judge them according to set rules. They will then expand the exercise into a task connected to their area of interest and complete a result suitable for submission.

The AI capabilities required in recruitment and practical work are expanding beyond simply using tools to include structuring tasks and connecting verified results to actual performance.

The second session focuses on verifying AI-generated work. Participants will learn to identify factual errors, rule violations and omissions, and to distinguish uncertain information. The same process will be applied to personal statements and interview preparation, with an emphasis on reviewing and judging AI output rather than accepting it unchanged.

The final session, “Turning Repetitive Work into a Working Environment,” will help each participant build a personal AI workspace using recurring instructions, rules and examples. They will compare the time required and number of revisions before and after the training to see the effect of the workflow. Each participant can then organize the experience and outputs into a portfolio for a résumé or interview. Sessions can be taken independently, while consecutive participation allows earlier work to be developed further.

The center said employers increasingly want AI skills that involve structuring work and checking results, not merely operating tools. It said it plans to continue supporting practice-based education that helps participants create usable outputs for the hiring process.
