South Korean television personality Seo Dong-ju has shared the painful reality of her fractured family relationships, revealing that she is no longer in contact with her brother following the death of their father, comedian Seo Se-won.

In a recent Instagram post, Seo reflected on the complexities of mother-daughter relationships, particularly her own bond with her mother, Seo Jeong-hee. "My mother is now the only person left in my family (of course, my grandmother is still here)," she wrote. "So I find myself leaning on her more these days and feel we are becoming an inseparable pair."

Seo elaborated on the estrangement from her brother, explaining that a conversation became strained after their father's death and subsequent stressful events. "After my father passed away and various things happened, we were talking, and something just snapped," she explained in response to a follower's question about their lack of contact.

Seo Se-won and Seo Jeong-hee, a well-known comedy couple, divorced in 2015 after marrying in 1982. They have two children: daughter Seo Dong-ju and son Seo Jong-woo (formerly Seo Dong-cheon), who was part of a band in 2007 but has since left the entertainment industry.
