Seoul City Partners with Together We Love for Dog Sports and Charity Run to Aid Vulnerable Pet Owners

Seoul City and the organization Together We Love are joining forces to support vulnerable pet-owning households through a unique event combining canine sports and a charity run. An agreement was signed at the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Seosomun 2nd Government Building to ensure the successful staging of the '2026 Dog Sports and Charity Run'.

Under the pact, Seoul City will provide venue support and approve the use of sponsor names. Together We Love will manage the 'RUN WITH GO' charity run, using part of the registration fees to fund care services for pets in vulnerable households. Both parties will collaborate on event operations and promotional activities to boost public participation.

The '2026 Pet림픽 Seoul,' a dog sports competition, is scheduled for October 24-25 at the World Cup Park Peace Plaza. It will feature various canine sports like frisbee, agility, and flyball, anticipating around 5,000 participants. Concurrently, the 'Together We Love Charity Run' will cover 5km and 10km courses around the World Cup Park, UNICEF Square, and Nanji Circular Road. This run aims for 5,000 offline and 2,000 online participants, with a portion of their fees also supporting vulnerable pet families.

Hwang Soo-bin, head of Together We Love's Impact Business Team, highlighted the initiative's potential. "This charity run is not a one-off event but a starting point for new social contribution where citizen participation leads to sustainable care," she stated. "We will further expand the scope of care and the range of participants, developing it into a participatory model that jointly addresses various social care needs."
