Seoul offers 30,000 won refund for Climate Companion Card users

Seoul is launching a refund program offering 30,000 won to users of its Climate Companion Card. This initiative aims to provide financial relief and encourage the use of public transportation as part of the city's efforts to address high fuel costs.

The refund is available to individuals who purchased and fully used a 30-day Climate Companion Card pass during the period of April 1 to June 30. Participants can receive up to 90,000 won, with monthly refunds of 30,000 won distributed over three months. Even users who only utilized the card for 30 days within the specified period are eligible.

To apply for the refund, individuals must register on the T-Money Card & Pay website and provide their card number. The application period runs from June 10 to August 31. Refunds are scheduled to be deposited into recipients' bank accounts starting at the end of June through September. For elderly individuals who may face difficulties with online applications, Seoul plans to offer alternative registration methods, including mail-in options.
