Serb businessman seeks huge compensation after near-fatal Ryanair window incident

A Serbian businessman is pursuing significant compensation after a terrifying ordeal on a Ryanair flight from Greece to Germany, where a window rupture nearly caused him to fall out of the aircraft.

My client carries a neck brace and has injuries all over his body. Doctors told him he must wear it for at least six weeks. After those six weeks, he must return to the hospital to determine if he will need surgery or something similar. Until we have the full picture of the whole case, I cannot talk about compensation. Ljubiša Karović survived the July 10 incident but sustained severe injuries. His lawyer, Vasilis Tsiaras, told Kurir that Karović was wearing a neck brace and had injuries all over his body, requiring at least six weeks of wear. Further medical evaluations will determine if surgery is necessary.

"My client's life was endangered. If he hadn't been wearing a seatbelt, he would be dead," Tsiaras stated. He added that Karović's chest, head, and hands were outside the plane for two to three minutes. Ryanair disputed the duration, but a lawyer representing a passenger seated next to Karović confirmed the extent of his exposure.
