Roads of Serbia has issued a warning to drivers, urging heightened caution as temperatures are expected to exceed 35 degrees Celsius in the coming days. The agency highlighted that summer driving conditions demand increased attention and responsible behavior from all road users.

Drivers are advised to plan their journeys, start trips in the cooler morning hours, and take breaks every two hours. Staying hydrated is also crucial, according to the statement. The agency stressed the importance of obeying traffic signals, adjusting driving to road conditions, paying attention to roadwork, maintaining safe distances, and ultimately, preserving lives.

Drivers are advised to plan their journey, start the trip rested in the morning hours when the air temperature is more pleasant for driving, take breaks every two hours, and drink fluids regularly.

The recommendations come as Serbia experiences a heatwave, with authorities advising citizens to avoid direct sun exposure between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. due to health risks associated with high temperatures. They also suggest staying in air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.
