Mešić explained that after losing his acting job, his life took a drastic turn. To survive, he moved to Vienna and worked on construction sites for three months, sharing photos of himself smiling with a shovel in hand. Despite these hardships, acting remained his passion, leading to roles in the Croatian series "U dobru i zlu" and the Slovenian series "Nemirna krv." He was also a host for the regional version of "Survivor."
