Serbian Government Dismisses Officials from Urban Planning Boards

The Serbian government has removed key figures from the management boards of two significant urban planning and architecture institutions. Professor Nebojša Bojović, who served as president, and Professor Vladan Đokić, a member, have been dismissed from the Management Board of the Institute for Architecture and Urbanism of Serbia.

Simultaneously, Professor Dejan Filipović has been removed from his position as acting president of the Management Board of the Republic Agency for Spatial Planning and Urbanism. These decisions were formalized through separate resolutions signed by Siniša Mali, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, and were officially published in the country's Official Gazette on Friday.

Notably, all three dismissed professors hold prominent positions within the University of Belgrade. Vladan Đokić is the rector, Nebojša Bojović serves as vice-rector for international cooperation, and Dejan Filipović is vice-rector for teaching. Đokić is a full professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Bojović at the Faculty of Transport and Engineering, and Filipović at the Faculty of Geography.
