Serbian Parliament Continues Session on 'Belgrade Waterfront' Amendments

Lawmakers in the Serbian Parliament are set to resume their session today at 10 a.m. to continue deliberations on proposed amendments to the law governing the ambitious 'Belgrade Waterfront' project. This key legislation aims to streamline procedures for expropriation and construction permits necessary for the project's realization.

The parliamentary agenda, which commenced on Monday, August 24, is extensive, featuring a total of 59 items. Before turning its focus to the 'Belgrade Waterfront' amendments, the National Assembly concluded its discussions on the proposed budget rebalance for the current year. Additionally, lawmakers addressed a bill designed to mitigate the effects of the energy crisis and rising living costs through one-time financial support for specific population groups.
