Serbian President Vučić Praises Domestic Tourism, Compares Region to Croatian Islands

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has ignited discussion by sharing a video from Kokin Brod, featuring a government minister singing. Vučić used the post to praise the Serbian region, drawing comparisons to renowned international summer destinations. In his social media post, Vučić wrote, "Brač, Hvar, Athens or Bodrum… None of that… This is Kokin Brod, Zlatibor, Serbia. Long live Serbia! P.S. The sea here is also the best." The accompanying video showed Dubravka Đedović Handanović, the minister of mining and energy, singing a song by Vesna Zmijanac. This public display comes as Vučić's Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is reportedly organizing public gatherings across Serbia. These events are taking place ahead of anticipated snap parliamentary elections, which would follow Vučić's potential resignation as president to head the party's parliamentary list. Minister Đedović Handanović had also posted photos from a tour of Nova Varoš with Vučić in southwestern Serbia.
