Turkish pop music star Serdar Ortaç is enduring a difficult period as he continues to battle Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a chronic autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system. The singer recently revealed that he spent 30 days hospitalized due to the condition's debilitating effects.

During the filming of his latest music video, Ortaç struggled to stand, ultimately completing the shoot while seated. The 56-year-old artist described his current condition, stating, "My legs are in a very bad state. I stayed in the hospital for 30 days. I am still sitting so as not to stand. I am about to overcome it, 3-5 days left." His visible discomfort on set has raised concerns among his fans, though he expressed optimism about recovering in the coming days.

MS is characterized by the immune system attacking the body's own healthy tissues, specifically targeting the myelin sheath that protects nerve fibers. This damage disrupts or severs the signal transmission between the brain and other body parts, leading to a range of neurological symptoms, including movement limitations and severe pain, which Ortaç is currently experiencing.

In addition to his health struggles, Ortaç has made arrangements for his estate. He previously appealed for his music to be preserved and shared, lamenting that his songs did not receive sufficient attention during his lifetime. Ortaç has decided that the proceeds from the sale of his 40 million Turkish Lira home will be distributed among his siblings, employees, and orchestra team. A significant portion of the remaining funds will be donated to the Mehmetçik Foundation and the families of martyrs, reflecting his desire to support national causes.
