Serena and Alcaraz OUT in US Open quarterfinals; thrilling mixed doubles semifinals set

A significant upset occurred at the US Open mixed doubles tournament as the pair of Carlos Alcaraz and Serena Williams was eliminated in the quarterfinals. The fourth-seeded duo fell to Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli in a closely contested match.

Bencic and Cobolli secured their spot in the semifinals by defeating Alcaraz and Williams. They are now set to face the formidable team of Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils in the first semifinal.
