Sevilla agrees deal to sign midfielder Kochorashvili from Sporting

Sevilla FC has reached an agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the transfer of Georgian midfielder Giorgi Kochorashvili. Sources close to the operation confirmed to EFE that the Spanish club will pay 4 million euros for the player, who has just arrived in Seville.

Kochorashvili, 27, has agreed to a four-year contract with Sevilla. Although the Spanish club initially considered signing him on loan with an option to buy, they have now opted for a direct purchase. The midfielder is expected to undergo his medical examination before finalizing the deal.

There is a possibility that Kochorashvili could travel with the squad to Bilbao for their upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao, even if his registration with LaLiga has not yet been completed. Sevilla's next match is the second fixture of the season, played at San Mamés stadium.

The Georgian international, who has 26 caps for his country, is familiar with Spanish football. He developed in the youth academies of Girona and Levante. He made a brief debut in Spain's top division with Levante and was a key player in their promotion to LaLiga in the 24/25 season before moving to Sporting Clube.
