SEWA Installs 1,878 New Lighting Poles in Sharjah During First Half of 2026

During the first half of 2026, the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) successfully installed 1,878 new lighting poles across various areas of Sharjah City. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to bolster traffic safety and elevate the overall quality of life for residents and visitors.

Beyond the installation of new poles, SEWA also focused on expanding the existing street lighting network, adding a total length of 105.8 kilometers. These developments are designed to keep pace with the emirate's rapid urban expansion, ensuring that infrastructure and services meet the highest international standards.
