SG Science Fest offers free entry to Science Centre with science shows and activities over National Day weekend

Singapore's Science Centre is celebrating National Day with the SG Science Fest, a three-day event running from August 8 to 10. The festival offers free admission to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, featuring a variety of science shows and hands-on activities.

Attendees can experience live science demonstrations, including a human-robot competition, and engage in interactive experiments. The event adopts an ocean theme, with programs inspired by marine science, such as mystery-solving games and water play zones with a marine twist. Popular character Quby will guide visitors through activities and storytelling sessions.

Families with young children can visit SG Science Fest Juniors at KidsSTOP, which includes storytelling sessions on Singapore's maritime heritage and opportunities to view local marine specimens. Separate tickets are available for KidsSTOP bundles, Omni-Theatre films, and selected screenings that feature live performances by young musicians.

The festival also includes heritage zones, with a bazaar offering local delicacies and a community art installation. Visitors can also participate in traditional childhood games at the amphitheater, providing a blend of scientific exploration and cultural celebration.
